My Therapeutic Approach:

Most of us know what it feels like to be stuck. We repeat the same arguments, experience the same frustrations, and struggle to change patterns - even when we understand why they happen. My work as a relational therapist focuses on bridging the gap between understanding and meaningful change.

I believe our relationships shape how we see ourselves, communicate, navigate conflict, and experience connection. Lasting change begins when we look beyond blaming others, recognize our own patterns, and discover new ways of relating.

My approach is compassionate, direct, and focused on progress. I believe therapy should offer more than a place to talk about problems. It should help people develop self-awareness, take responsibility, build practical skills, and create meaningful change.

Specialized Practice:

Couples: I help partners break cycles of blame, defensiveness, and disconnection by understanding the patterns driving their conflict. The goal is to rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and create a healthier relationship.

Men: My work with men focuses on strengthening communication, navigating conflict, and developing greater emotional and relational awareness. The goal is to build on existing strengths while creating healthier relationships and a more intentional life.

Young Adults: Navigating adolescence brings challenges involving independence, identity, emotions, and relationships. I help young adults develop self-understanding, confidence, emotional awareness, and practical skills for navigating relationships and life's challenges.

A Different Way Forward

I believe accountability and compassion belong together. Understanding our past helps explain our patterns, but it does not have to determine our future. Taking responsibility does not mean accepting all the blame, and forgiveness does not require abandoning healthy boundaries.

My goal is to help people move beyond blame, shame, and avoidance toward greater clarity, connection, and purposeful action.

I offer both remote (Zoom) and in-person sessions in Steamboat Springs.
